Needle Book and Garden Apron

I showed you already the thread catcher I had made for Marie in my second to last posting, but there are two more gifts, I had created for my dear friend. I was pretty sure that she didn’t have a needle book yet and thought that this would be something she could use. The pretty vintage ad that I had printed on fabric to put on the cover, was provided by The Graphics Fairy.

Marie had asked me if I could sew her a garden apron and here it is. The French image also came from The Graphics Fairy. Thank you, Karen!

Garden Apron with Lace and Vintage French Image

Our little Dottie girl is missing for over a week and I miss her very much. She’s a bit wilder than her brothers and had always proved that she’s the daughter of a feral cat. She was the first of the litter of four to climb up the cat tree and later amazed us, when we saw her climbing up the slim and slippery posts of our bed and the plain side of a high wooden wardrobe. I’m certainly quite worried but she’s a very clever girl and a tough little cookie, so I still have hope that she’s doing fine and just enjoys being outside, exploring the environment. Please keep your fingers crossed that our sweet girl will return.

Have a lovely week!

Hi Julia! I hope little Dottie comes home soon and is no worse for wear. I worry so much about my kitties because they love to hunt the fields nearby and the foxes are prevalent there, but they love their independence so much. I always pray they will come home safe and sound.
The needlebook and garden apron you made are so, so lovely. You create so much beauty and I am always so pleased when I come and see that you have posted them.

sending hugs your way...

Liebe Julia,
oh Mann!

The needlebook and apron are so pretty. I'm sorry about little Dottie. Perhaps she just got a wild hair and wanted to be in the great outdoors. Some cats are like that. Hard to know for sure. I know how you feel -- the not knowing makes it much worse. Sending hugs your way, Tammy

Hope your kittie returns soon. It is so worrisome when this happens. Once our Harry got locked in our neighbors garage for over a week while they were on vacation. He was a bit dehydrated but seemed fine once he was released. He was very glad to be home and we were even more happy.
