Spring Longing

Not all decoration ideas that suddenly pop up in my mind do work out. This one did, I think. Some days ago, when I randomly looked at my vintage typewriter, I got the idea to put a nest with eggs in it and use it as the focal point for a spring vignette.

Spring Vignette - Vintage with Laces
Spring Decoration: Nest on Typewriter - Vintage with Laces

When I searched my stash for a spring themed page of sheet music, I found one called “Frühlingssehnsucht” which is German for spring longing.

Spring Decor: Nest with Eggs on Typewriter - Vintage with Laces

Altered Easter Eggs - Vintage with Laces
The nest and eggs are creations from last year. You can find my descriptions how I made the eggs HERE and the nest HERE.

Spring Vignette with Typewriter - Vintage with Laces
My typewriter wasn’t the only piece that got repurposed for the vignette. Of course not :). I cut some plum tree branches and used an old milk can as a vase.

Nest in Lantern - Vintage with Laces
The lantern was a junk yard find from last year and I thought a nest would look good in there too.

What do you think about my repurposed spring vignette?

I’ll be sharing it at  these great parties:

Surely such a beautiful vignette just has to persuade Spring to hurry up and arrive. I love it, everything works so well together.

Liebe Julia,
FrauHummel

DeaR Julia,
Your spring vignette is so very special and beautiful, -the typewriter giving place for the nest with your wonderful eggs in front of the wood piece and with the lovely spring flowers in the jug, and the lantern also with nest and eggs ,all makes a simple, but amazing disdplay together with your banner.
Thank you, sweetie for your greetings through dear Marie, and love and hugs from Dorthe

Liebe Julia,
Knuffs an Deine Pelznasen.
Herzliche Grüße

Your nests and spring vignette are so beautiful!
I wish we had kept that typewriter my hubby's mom used to have, even if it was broken. I couldn't convince her it was worth keeping at the time. Love your door behind everything!

Oh Dearest Julia that bird's nest sits so perfectly in your typewriter and the whole vignette with the blossoms sitting in the milkcan and the nest in the lantern surely is inviting Spring to appear!
Everything looks so rustic against your timber backdrop - another Helmut creation?
Thanks for coming to visit - yes dear friend I love everything in the greys and those gorgeous crocheted flowers that you sent me.
I hope the sun shines for you over the weekend with the gentle coming of Spring!

Sending lots of big hugs and love,
Suzy

Julia, It is a lovely arrangement with the vintage typewriter. I know I am surely longing for spring! I may try some decoupaged eggs to put in baskets for decoration.
