Crows and Ravens

Some crows and/or ravens have found their way into my Halloween decoration. I have a few bingo cards in my stash with both, the 10 and the 31. I took one of them and created this collage. The birds are images from The Graphics Fairy and were printed out on book pages. In the right upper corner of the bingo card, I sewed on a piece of plastic netting that I melted with my heat gun afterwards.

Halloween Collage

The stamped twig was too small for the rather large bird. Therefore I added some branches with a black fine line pen. The rings I used to accent the date, are copper washers.

Halloween Collage

Here is an ATC with a stamped raven or crow. I never can tell the difference, can you? A rusty hinge is used as a picture holder.

I played around a bit with the wonderful antique top hat that dear Carola had sent me. I think it looks quite cute on my painted and stenciled pumpkin. Again I had printed and cut out a crow image from The Graphics Fairy, this time to create a stencil. Stenciling on the round and uneven pumpkin was a bit tricky and needed a little patience.

I’m still having so much fun creating for Halloween and there will be some more Halloween posts coming up. See you again soon …

Have a great fall weekend!

Hugs,

Julia

What a fabulous Halloween collage! Quite spooky, it gave me little shivers down my spine. The birds look rather menacing, but it was such a great idea printing them onto book pages.

Very pretty, Julia! Love that first tag. I did stenciling on a faux pumpkin once. You're right ~ it can be tricky to do it and get the image clear.

Glad to see you having fun with the top hat my friend! :) Love the altered bingo card with the bookpage birds and the melted netting and you did really well with the stenceling on your white painted pumpkin! Is that a bingo stone with the 31 on it? Too cute! Now tell what has the 10 to do with Halloween? I know the 31 of course and the 13 and now I can't stop thinking what the 10 can stand for lol

Bravo dear Julia
Loving those Halloween creations and the use of Bingo cards. I also used a Bingo card for the 31 for Mr and Mrs Bones new home, Bingo cards are so useful.
I like the colour palette, keeping to a neutral colour way adds a hint of the sinister and menace to your creations.
Your home must look incredible during Halloween.
