Silver Sunday (6) - MIX and MATCH

Welcome to the final Silver Sunday of the first Season!

Thank you very much, dear Beth for hosting Silver Sunday and for continueing it on every second Sunday of each month! It had been so much fun to get the silver out. I find myself using and decorating with it a lot more often now.

Today I have mixed and matched all kinds of silver colored materials, like this zinc container, a coffee measure and silver plated pastry tongs.

That's a little silver salt pot

and here we have the lovely handle of a cheese knife

and the handle of a punch dipper

Please say "Hi" to Dusty! He had been very upset and jealous when he saw little Benjamin in last Silver Sunday's post. Of course he also wanted to get a model job and brought the argument that he is just perfect for it due to his fur color. I couldn't reject his wish and so, here he is, playing with my measuring tape.

Sitting still for a while bored him pretty soon though and so he messed around a little bit and put a funnel on.

Some hundred cupcakes earlier these cupcake moulds must have looked silver and shiny.

Please hop over to Beth for a chance to win some silver goodies and to check out all the other great Silver Sunday posts! I had so much fun looking at all the beautiful silver items over the last weeks! Thank you everyone for all the eye-candies!

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Hugs,
Julia

Hi Julia,
What a lovely post for Silver Sunday. I love how you have displayed the sparkly silver with the ruggedness of the wood. Like the old pot and the sifter. Your silver bear looks pretty happy with funnel on his head. He's ready to party.

Hi Julia! Oh and I won't forget to say 'Hi' to the star of your silver show; Dusty! It is a treat again to be here! Why are the cuttlery handles of today just boring when you compare them with the craftmanship of the handles of yesterday? I'll go for yesterdays'! Have a wonderful Sunday too!

Wow, Julia, I love your punch ladle and those pastry tongs are gorgeous! One of my goals is to find a silver punch ladle to go with my Depression Glass punch set.

I love this whole post and the way you've displayed it. Dusty is doing a good job guarding over your treasures.
I'm with you, the mix of silver and zinc looks so good together. Makes it more casual for everyday......well since my butler quit and now I have no one to polish the silver:))haha!
